Warning Order: Hlutrgu and Qol release pending

At long last, the Tekumel Project is on the verge of releasing 28mm figures for direct sale via The Tekumel Club.

See the Club thread on our blog, here:

The Tekumel Club

The Hlutrgu and the first of the Qol are currently in the process of having Production Molds made and we expect to be able to pick up the initial castings at Fall In at the end of this month.

News...

The Hlutrgu and Qol have been mastered. Production molds still have to be made. It is theoretically possible that these will be done before Fall In and it is even conceivable we might be picking up castings at the show (from Old Glory.)

This would mean - if things were to work out so freakishly well - that we could have stock available for anybody who might happen by at the show...

I don't want to make any promises at the moment, however.

Not when everything seems to happen soooo slowly...

Also, I am on the verge of sending out John's blanks to another caster - RAFM this time. Once those molds are made he will hopefully be able to start churning out civilians and such.

Chronofus

After another long break, I've done a tiny bit of editing on the blog, adding a link down the right hand side to Chronofus.net, wherein lies a little preview page from Eureka's "Armies and Enemies of the Petal Throne" range.

chronofus

Chronofus previews quite a bit of Eureka's stuff, but I am linking directly to the Tekumel stuff. While his pages do not show all our figures, some might find them useful as the pictures are closeups. His most recent update shows the Hlaka release, including the Prince Eselne and the Imperial Messenger vignette.

First Look: The Qól

Qól Archers and Halberdiers

Finally - after a long summer of not having much to post - I can give you a look at the first of the Qól figures we have planned for release through the Tékumel Club.

The Qól are the in-human creations of the Temple of Ksárul and are used as guardians and servitors. The Temple of Sárku has also been known to make use of them as well.

This first batch comprise two archers, two halberdiers and a swordsman. Additional figures planned are more character types. If you have suggestions for poses we'd like to hear them - the release already has some 15-odd figures planned as it leads into the Temple of Ksárul.

Hope you like them!

In other news. Production delays have beset the Shén and, possibly, the Hláka. Similarly, the Hlutrgú have been delayed by vacations and other commitments meaning the masters have yet to be made. The up-side of this is the masters for the Qól and Hlutrgú should be able to get made at the same time.

Things are progressing, albiet slowly...

Thank you all for your patience!

Tekumel Source Book Poll

In an effort to move forward with the concept of regional sourcebooks for Tsolyanu and Tekumel in general, I have created a poll on the Tekumel Yahoogroup. The idea is to attempt to identify areas of interest and establish a starting point.

The poll is located here:

VOTE HERE

The first step as I see it is to identify areas of interest. The next step will be select a region based on the interest indicated by the poll. The third step will be to form a working group to collate the available data and move forward towards a draft document. This would include cartography and art. The fourth step would be to compile the information into the document and move forward with publication.

If you think this is a worthy effort then please indicate your interest by voting in the poll.
