Grrr...I hate being sick! *sniff*
Apologies to all for being non-responsive or slow to emails or messages, but I am celebrating the one week anniversary of my first big cold of the year. :-(
Phlegm production exceeds all expectations but have yet to find a use for the stuff except perhaps in the moat of a medieval castle.
I actually tried going into work on Wednesday for a half-day but had to go home after only a couple of hours.

One step forward, two steps back...
...or so it seems sometimes!
Last weekend was Hot Lead, a fine little Canadian convention in Stratford, Ontario. Sold a chunk of the lead pile - enough to pay my casting order from RAFM, which I picked up from them while I was there.
That was all good, but on Thursday evening my computer died a horrible death. And then the next morning we left for Stratford, so there was little I could do at the time.
I have since bought a cheap laptop ($325+/-) which turns out to be better than my old PC which cost about $1200 IIRC. Of course, the expenditure was not budgeted for.
And today the muffler on the car gave out. It hasn't fallen off, it just seems to have come detached at the engine. As Kingston seems to be the pot hole capital of Canada this is perhaps not surprising. This will be the third car repair in the last five or six weeks. Previously the coolant system started leaking and before that one of the front tires had it's back broken - if that is the right way to describe it. I blame the pot holes!
*sigh*

Pots, Vases and Treasure Chests....
Now how big are they? Not made for 28mm figures, strictly speaking, but it seems the "Super Dungeon Explore" figures stand on the typical 25mm round bases. At least, that base size is mentioned in the KS information. There is also this Add On, which seems to show 25mm bases:
You can find the Kickstarter Here. But hurry. It ends Tuesday, Jan 29th and 12:54 EST. That is about 67 hours from now according to KS.

Last Post of 2011!
Sorry I've been absent. No energy to post, or nothing in particular to say more like! :-)
I have been trying to decide on "New Years Resolutions" or whether even to bother, as I never seem to accomplish them.
Hope everybody has had a Merry Christmas! :-)

Blogger really pisses me off sometimes...
...like when they arbitrarily apply some formatting change.
Most recently I discovered that the photos I insert in my blogs were coming up in some weird sort of display. A "light table overlay" is the new default apparently - something I discovered only by rooting around in the settings and changing it to "off".
It annoys me that I had to go in and change the settings. They are behaving in the same way that makes me hate Microsoft so much. Grrr...

Back Again...
Sorry for the silence since returning from the con, but I am taking this "distant learning" GIS course and I have an online Quiz I have to complete before 11PM today. I'll do a proper post once I've finished my readings and done the Quiz.
Bye, Again...

Blogger in it's Death Throes?
So what the heck is wrong with Blogger, anyway?
I notice that my "friends" listing has disappeared and I read a blog just now where a similar thing was happening there.
I have so much trouble posting comments on some blogs - from Blogger acting up - that sometimes I don't bother. And there seem to be a lot of error messages when I post or navigate between blogs - can't find this or that, and so on.
So, is Blogger just generating too much traffic - or what?

Is it safe to come out now?
Well, it looks like Blogger might have stabilized finally and it's safe to post something without fear of it disappearing...
...not that I have much news to post anyhow.

Fire Ants Ate Me Alive!
Yes, it was that kind of day today! ;-)
(I wish.)
I stumbled on a whole mess of these vintage Men's [Pulp] magazines from the 50's and 60's via From the Sorcerer's Skull. Overall, pretty lurid stuff - but that caption just cracks me up! :-)

"Cleitus, I'm Bored..."
That pretty much sums up today. I have nothing positive nor over-whelmingly negative to report.

A Typical Day in Jakálla!
Here in Kingston, Ontario, the temperatures are in the high 30's - 38 or so if you count the Humidex. In Jakálla, the "City Half as Old as the World", located on Tsolyánu's southern coast, that would be an average day with temperatures getting as high as 51 degrees C on the hottest summer days.
And Professor Barker doesn't even mention the Humidex! :-0!

2500K
That's the distance (give-or-take) that I have logged so far this month in three different cars. Add to that another thousand in the air. I have been about 1200k south and 450k north and right now I am feeling damn tired.
Next month I'm staying home!
